The Bill Club
Join us for a meeting of The Bill Club on Wednesday August 6, 2025, from 12-1 PM via Zoom to review and discuss a series of legislative proposals that could impact recovery and sober living residences across New Jersey.
For example: Senate Bill S2527, which, in a nutshell, proposes revisions to the regulation of rooming and boarding houses and cooperative sober living residences. The legislation aims to increase local oversight by requiring that certain residential facilities comply with municipal land-use and zoning regulations. Under S2527, owners or operators of such residences must secure municipal land-use approval, such as a zoning permit or site plan approval—before they can apply for or renew their operating license with the state.
